The Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis has been founded in 1973 and offers degrees in Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis, Master of Arts in Psychoanalytic Counseling and doctoral programs in psychoanalysis. It is one of the few such institutes in the world.

The school also offers a one-year program that is designed to enrich the work of clinical practitioners and professionals who are employed in various disciplines.

Open access, combined with a worldwide reputation for excellence in psychoanalytic training, has enabled the school to admit and train qualified students from a wide variety of educational backgrounds and from many countries and cultures.

The school is located in Brookline, a short distance from Boston by car or via the Green Line light rail.  It also also has branches in New York and New Jersey.
